(More customer reviews)I was greatly disappointed with this product. I purchased it because in my business I change oil several times per month, and I wanted something quicker and easier to use than the hand siphon pump I had been using.
Specific gripes:
1) The unit did not come with a male adapter to attach a compressor hose, even though the instructions explicitly stated to "connect air supply to vacuum pump male adapter". I had to go out an buy an adapter (no big deal, but it marked the beginning of my frustration).
2) The instructions are poorly written and incomplete. In following the instructions to the letter, the pump just did not work. I eventually figured it out by fiddling with the unit's numerous valves.
3) A request from the company for assistance went unanswered. No one answered the phone (it just rang and rang without even going to voice mail), and no one responded to my email.
4) The unit takes a long time to achieve proper vacuum pressure.
5) The unit takes a long time to suction out the oil.
Overall, this unit has not made my job of changing oil any easier. It hasn't made it any quicker. And it's definitely made it noisier (My compressor has to be running non-stop while the oil is suctioned from the engine.)
