(More customer reviews)I love Ruff Stuff (which is the same as Buzz Bee) guns, which are an excellent alternative to Nerf. I use my guns for nerf wars, which means I don't need any unnecessary bells and whistles.
Let's look at my nerf gun criteria for this gun.
1) Power, despite being a spring powered air pusher, it's got plenty of power and distance. It might be hard for smaller kids to pull, but personally I don't think kids under 7-8 should be playing with these types of guns.
2) Speed, it's auto-rotate, you can get off 10 shots as quickly as you can pull the spring back 10 times. You always lose bullets, but Buzz Bee sells a pack of 100 replacement bullets so you don't have to worry about them.
3) Jamming - none at all. This is a simple gun and simple is good, just plug your bullets in from the front, no cartridge boxes, ammo belts or barrels you need to rotate out. I don't need any lights or sound, and I can always make the brabrabrabra shooting sound with my mouth!
4) Price - lastly, it's cheap! You can't beat a 10 shooter for $14.95, and that's with lights and sound too!
Pros and cons - There are no cons that I can see. In nerf wars, you can always use an extra gun in awkward situations where you are loading or your main gun is jammed. This is a nice back up or main gun with plenty of speed, power and ease of use. A 10/10 for me.
